Commission E Asked Health Agency to Anticipate Dengue Fever

Jakarta Council (DPRD) Commission E asked Health Agency to improve awareness towards dengue fever (DBD) which usually happens after rainy season.

We understand how busy Health Agency right now, but we shouldn't ignore the danger of dengue fever

Commission E Chairman, Iman Satria stated, Dinkes should form special team to anticipate a surge in dengue victims in the midst of coronavirus pandemic.

"We need to anticipate it by creating team to handle DBD. We understand how busy Health Agency right now, but we shouldn't ignore the danger of dengue fever," he asserted, Wednesday (4/15).

His side suggested Health Agency to intensify its collaboration with groups of community that had been formed at urban village levels to socialize dengue prevention to the residents.

His side also supported Health Agency to hold fogging in residential areas, without having to wait for dengue case report.

"Hopefully, Health Agency can optimize its units and jumantik (wrigler hunter) cadres in urban villages, including mosquito eradication and 3M socialization," he stated.
